Sam Buruca

Sam has been involved with Muay Thai for almost 10 years, he has fought at championship level and has a vast amount of fight experince that has translated well into coaching adults and children of all levels.

Dedicating his life to Muay Thai at the age of 12 Sam has had 55 amateur/ junior fights and achieved 6 British titles, 2 European titles including a K1 Open Championship held in Latvia where he won Gold and a world title.

At the age of 15 Sam had his first professional fight in Thailand and continued to compete in Thailand on major shows such as Max Muay Thai which was televised across the globe. Sam also competed on major UK Muay Thai promotion Yokkao, building a fantastic reputation on the domestic scene, achieving rank 2 as a professional in the UK.

Bev Coker

Bev is the Assistant Manager member and one of our coaches at UTC, Bev has been with us for over 8 years now training under head Fitness Trainer and Martial Arts Coach Scot Tudhope, learning the training concepts that Scot has used for over 25 years in the fitness and martial arts industry.

Bev is also a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Oliver Geddes and an active competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Bev currently runs the Circuit Training classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and has recently completed her Level 3 KettleBell Coach qualification and is currently working towards gaining her Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Oliver Geddes

Oliver Geddes is the head Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Coach at UTC Blackpool, a 2nd Degree Black Belt under Roger Gracie and one of the UK’s most active competitors and referees.

Although Oli isn’t based permanently at UTC he visits regularly to pass on his ever increasing knowledge and ensure the team are progressing and offers constant support and mentoring.

Scot Tudhope

Scot is a BJJ Black Belt under Oliver Geddes and is the head coach at Unique Training Centre, with over 26 years’ experience in both the Martial Arts and Fitness Industry. Scot has competed for many years and produced some fantastic competitors many of whom have gone on to win major competitions.

Scot is the main coach for all the Strength & Conditioning, Fitness and Children’s Martial Arts programs at Unique Training Centre along with being actively involved in coaching the Keidokwai Judo Kids Academy as their head coach.

Scot is also a fully qualified Personal Trainer offering Personal Fitness sessions and Private Tuition too, Scot’s qualifications are:
